SEPTEMBER 11 - OCTOBER 24, 2026
I think
of this collection of drawings and paintings simply as “scapes” - not
quite landscapes,
but not cityscapes either. “Peoplescapes” might be a better word for
them;
as human interaction and specifically conflict, is their primary
focus.
It took me years to make some of these pieces because I kept starting
over when even one detail was off.
Each composition is a carefully constructed pattern - a precarious
balance of positive and negative,
specific and abstract - imposing order on the messiness of our social
landscape. |

New Embroideries
SEPTEMBER 11 - OCTOBER 24, 2026
The majority of the works included in this collection
are what I refer to as
"fragmented epitaphs":
abstracted details of moss and lichen-covered tombstones.
These embroideries are an intimate reflection
on the intersection of
life and death and time, shimmering in the morning dew: fading
pinpricks of
light. |
